Happy New Year!!! It’s the first Thursday in 2017 and I’m super excited and grateful!

I thank God for life! I can never take the gift of life for granted. It sounds cliché but so many people shouted “Happy New Year” but never lived to see the next day. God has been gracious and merciful and I’m grateful!

Divine protection! Journey mercies. As is common during the yuletide season I travelled to celebrate and spend the time with friends and family. The journey was smooth to and fro. I bless God.

2017 was prophesied to be a year of pleasant surprises. I’m thankful for the move of God in this regard that I have already experienced. I remember a post by Nathaniel Bassey towards the end of 2016 about unexpected bank alerts.

I tapped into it and said a big amen! To the glory of God I have started seeing the manifestations! Hallelujah! Indeed, God is good!

What are you thankful for? Pray, share!

Hello lovely people! Welcome to December! It’s another Thursday, and as is my practice (when the words leave my head and make it to the keyboard) I’m here to testify to the goodness of Eledumare and appreciate Him once again for the many miracles around me.

I’m thankful to God for divine provision, protection, mercy and favor He showered on my family and I as we got set for my wedding. He sent forth His word and truly, His words did not fall to the ground. His promises He fulfilled. Uwese Baba.

I thank God for the lovely people he placed around me. From vendors that turned family, to the amazing friends and family around me! I thank God. He indeed raised men for my sake! Prayers, presents, and presence. I’m indeed grateful for the love that was showered on me. May God bless you all.

What are you thankful for? Pray, share!

It’s another Thursday, and my internal alarm had beeped twice or so in the course of the day reminding me that I hadn’t written anything to post today. My emotions have been a roller coaster in the last couple of weeks and I realized it’s easy to overlook God’s faithfulness so many times and begin to question if there is indeed anything to be thankful for. But trust me, there are! Tonnes of things in fact.

So, today, I’m thankful for the lesson that this experience has brought me. I must be intentional about thanksgiving. To be honest, that was part of why I started this series a while back. It was a conscious effort to be intentional in my gratitude to God for EVERYTHING! Big, small, in between.

I’m also thankful for the leading of the Holy Spirit. I attended a number of sessions of the 2016 Camp Meeting of Kisses and Hugs Club, a ministry for singles and married led by Pastors Dunamis and Sophia Okunowo last weekend. It literarily set my spirit man on fire!!! I had such a busy weekend and a lot on my plate and it was a huge sacrifice to create the time to attend but I am glad, in fact overjoyed, that I obeyed and went. I met God! Chai! I experienced God! Words in season came forth. Lots of testimonies too. I’ll urge you to get the CDs of the Camp Meeting when they’re out and listen. The messages were FIRE!!!

I thank God for the wonderful people he has placed around me. My biological family and of course my spiritual family. I’m thankful for the pillars of strength God has sent to me. People. We need people. I thank God for the people he has placed in my life.

What are you thankful for? Pray, share!

P.S. If you haven’t heard Onise Iyanu by Nathaniel Bassey, please get it. We serve a God of awesome wonders that creation adores. You don’t want stones praising Him in your place!

It’s exactly 58 days to the end of 2016!!! Happy new month! I can almost smell Christmas. Lol. I’m thankful today for the gift of life, sound health and sound mind. 2016 has been an eventful year. I’m thankful for where I am and definitely excited about what God has in store for the rest of the year.

It’s just 3 days into the new month and I have testimonies already! I got surprise gifts from two people. God used them to meet me at the exact point of my need! I was just blown away about how detailed God is in dealing with us.

I’m thankful for God’s word! Don’t know about you but when I stumble on a scripture and it speaks to my immediate situation, there’s just this unexplainable joy that comes with it. I have quite a lot on my plate this month and it got me worried at some point. In the course of the week, someone in a Christian ladies group I belong to mentioned this scripture and GBAM! I’ve been stewing on it everyday and telling it to myself.

I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.””

‭‭John‬ ‭16:33‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I’m grateful for good music! I love music a whole lot and I make an extra effort to streamline what I listen to.  I recently found a Bethel Music album on my phone –  Be Lifted High. Listening to this album has been a tremendous blessing. It’s been on repeat almost everywhere I go now.

Lastly today, I give God thanks for my brother, Demilade. He is moving from corper to gold tomorrow. It’s been one year of serving the fatherland. I thank God for the opportunities and experience he has gained in the past year. It’s the start of something great for him, surely as The Lord lives!

What are you thankful for? Pray, share!

That’s my first testimony this Thursday. NYSC done and dusted! The past year has been pretty eventful. Highs and lows, tears and drama, lots of laughter and love too, new experiences, some culture shock, friendships forged… All in all, I’m thankful! I answered Nigeria’s clarion call and had an awesome experience. All glory to Jehovah!

One of the not so fun parts of the NYSC year is the #19,800 life. I wondered how I was going to survive. Jehovah Jireh never once failed me. Ha! Divine provision left, right and centre! Oba ti o d’oju tini! Mo s’eba re!

Last and definitely not the list on my #GratitudeList this Thursday is the fact that I’m a year older tomorrow!!! It’s the Silver Jubilee! Yippee! All I’ll ask is that you say a prayer of thanksgiving for me. God has been faithful.  If you feel led to send me a gift feel free to holla. *wink*

What are you thankful for? Pray, share!

Hello. Hope you’ve had a fab week so far! The month is almost over. We have barely 24 hours to go in September 2016. There definitely is a whole lot to thank God for today.

Just like I started off, I’m thankful for life! 2016 is gradually coming to an end. We’re about to get into the last quarter of the year. God has been faithful. He has kept me in my going out and coming in, and I’m most grateful.

I took a trip today and as we journeyed, we noticed all of a sudden that cars started turning back. We paused to find out what was happening, we were informed that robbers were on the highway! We had to make a U-turn. Eventually we continued our journey but arrived much later than envisaged, no thanks to traffic. I remember as we set off on our way earlier in the day, we stopped over 4 times before we eventually hit the highway. All that time, I silently grumbled about how we were wasting precious time. Little did I know that all that seemingly wasted time was Gods way of ensuring that we didn’t leave early enough and end up getting robbed! I’m just thankful for God’s goodness and mercy.

What are you thankful for? Pray, share!

Hello. Thanks for stopping by. It’s Thursday and I’ve come to share some of the things I’m thankful for this week.

I’m thankful for great people around me. People that don’t let me get too comfy and allow complacency set into my life. At times I switch over to lazy mode *covers face*  but I thank God for ‘my tribe’ that  won’t let me stay there.

I thank God for divine provision!!! News headlines have it that the Nigerian economy is in recession. But mehn! My Jehovah is the owner of the cattle on a thousand hills and He has been faithful! Hallelujah!

Lastly, I thank God for my father who turns a year older tomorrow. My dear Baba Ayo. My man of peace. Happy birthday daddy!

What are you thankful for? Pray, share!

Hellooooo. 😀 I hope you had a terrific Thursday! It’s the last day of the first half of 2016! Another #ThankfulThursday #TestimonyThursday is here. I’m sure like me, you have tons to be grateful for!

I’m super grateful to God for seeing me through the first half of the year! To the glory of God, 2016 got off to a great start. I’m assured that God who started the work is faithful to complete it. I’m sooo excited about the latter that would be greater than the rest! Hallelujah!

I also want to appreciate God for His faithfulness. Abba is faithful o! The fellowship I attend organized a concert and to the glory of God it was a success! The devil tried so much to mess things up but God gave us the victory! He was with us through it all. At the very last minute almost all our invited ministers cancelled for one reason or the other. It was beyond my comprehension. I have planned programs before and I understand that people decline invitations, but never have I seen almost everyone decline a few hours to the program! Chai! But God turned it around for good. It was a success, all to His glory.

Last and definitely not the least, I’m grateful for my brother who is a year older today! Oluwafeyidarafunmi! You definitely are for signs and wonders to the glory of God.

What are you thankful for? Pray, share!

#ThankfulThursday #TestimonyThursday

Happy half of the month everyone! Lol 😀 It’s June and I’m sure like me you’re beginning to realize that 2016 is flying mehn! But of course in everything we give thanks!!!

It’s another #ThankfulThursday #TestimonyThursday!!! I’m so pumped and excited. Guess you can already tell with all the exclamation marks I’ve used. *covers face* Well, I’m here to testify of Abba’s goodness; declare His goodness in the land of the living. Here goes…

First up, I’m thankful for life! So many times I’ve taken that prayer point of thanking God for life for granted, but never again. It is by His mercies and grace that we’re still standing.

I’m thankful for my NYSC experience. That alone is another blog post. To say God has been good is to put it lightly. Things were pretty rough at the beginning and at some point I wondered if it’ll ever be great again. Ah! I remember the tears and phone calls. Plenty drama and despair. Abba showed up and turned it around. Thank you Jesus!!! What can I do without you Lord? Nothing. Absolutely nothing!

I’m thankful for my walk with The Lord. He’s been patiently teaching me and leading me on this journey. See as I highlighted patiently ehn. Thank God for His mercies. For not giving up on me even when I would have given up on me. Like my B-Syd brethren would say, “Osama”. God is good!I’m thankful for my friends and family. Truly no man is an island. I know lots of people see me as Miss Independent ehn but like the Yorubas say, ” Eniyan l’aso Eniyan”. Everybody needs somebody. Thank you all for having my back. Thank God for bringing you all into my life. 🙂

What are you grateful for? Pray, share!

That plainly speaking is the summary of my testimony in the last month!
Before I get into today’s post, I must say thanks for dropping by here. My apologies for my silence. I’m back (and better) by the grace of God! I have an announcement to make  in the next 24 hours. So, make sure to be back here soon. *wink*

*********************

The last couple of weeks have honestly been a bit tough for me, but God saw me through. Like He promised, He didn’t leave me nor forsake me. I thank God that I have God!!!

I’m thankful to God for raising destiny helpers for me! People that just stood for me, fought for me even, some total strangers! God sent wonderful people my way to help me, the kind of help that can’t be from anywhere but God. You know how people say “this is Nigeria, they either want you to grease their palms or warm their beds before they can render help?” None of that for me! Only God can give such HELP!

I’m thankful for the family and friends I have been blessed with. One of my favorite sayings is without people, purpose will not make sense. I learnt this truth all over again. Nothing beats the support of family and friends, especially when tough times come calling. The prayers, tears, strength, encouragement, instruction, laughter…simply invaluable!

I’m thankful for the seemingly little things as well… The elderly woman that gave me directions one day when I was almost lost, made the cab man pick me up even when he was reluctant to cos I wasn’t going their way. All of this she did so I won’t be stranded in a strange land. In addition to that, she paid my fare! Thank you Lord.

So, dear friends, what are you thankful for? Pray, share…
