Hello people! Hope you’ve had a great week, just like I did. The title of today’s post was gotten from the theme song of one of the many cartoons I saw as a teenager- Rugrats All Grown Up. My birthday is in a couple of hours, but unlike the usual wish list or thankful list, I would like to share a couple of things I have learnt in my little over two decades of life on God’s green Earth. They have helped me to stay grounded and I hope you can also learn a thing or two. In no particular order of importance, here are the lessons…
#1 God is love! The world tries to feed us all sorts of distorted versions of what love is. The only way to truly know love is to know God.
#2 Ko le to yen! A lot of times, I take things too seriously, but I’m learning to kick back, relax and enjoy life and not stress out so much.
#3 Have fun! Yes lots of fun! With friends, with family, with yourself. There’s a child in every one of us and yes, it’s okay to let him/her come out and play every now and then.
#4 Family is important!
#5 Friends are a vital part of life.
#6 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much!
#7 Putting a smile on someone’s face is priceless. It is not enough to be blessed, be a blessing!
#8 In life, there are no permanent friends or foes.
#9 You can always be a better you. Never let mediocrity creep in.
#10 There is a time and season for everything under the Sun.
#11 A good name is better than silver and gold.
#12 You are responsible for the way your life turns out. You choose!
#13 Learn from the experiences of people around you.
#14 Never give up!
#15 The destination is important but don’t forget to enjoy the journey.
#16 You can never please everybody. Above all, please God!
#17 The path of righteousness is a lonely path. Most of the time, if not all the time, you tread it alone. (that’s my mum’s mantra)
#18 The discovery and passionate pursuit of life’s purpose brings fulfillment.
That’s all folks. Don’t forget to send in my gifts. *winks* Thank you.
